Allied Industrial Partners LLC today announced its partnership with American Corporate Partners ("ACP"), a national nonprofit organization dedicated to helping veterans and active-duty military spouses find their next careers through individual mentoring, networking and online career advice.
The free program is open to those who served 180 days on active duty since 2001, including National Guardsmen and Reservists. This includes those with service-connected disabilities, and ACP also welcomes applications from active-duty spouse
AIP will mentor many senior executives, including members of the AIPS investment team, portfolio company partners and an extensive operating partner network. These mentors will be matched in one-on-one, year-long mentorships with veterans AIP will also contribute financially to the ACP to support its efforts.
As soon as I returned from a tour of Afghanistan in 2011, I experienced specialized success in the program. "ACP was incredibly helpful with my transition from active duty to an investment firm, and in my view, impacted my development as a leader and investor. I am pleased that our organization can give back and serve as its partner. The extended AIP team is excited to participate in this important initiative.
