Riverdale's Last Season Has 10 Loose Ends Before It's All Over

Riverdale's Last Season Has 10 Loose Ends Before It's All Over ...

After more than five years of some of television's most ridiculous plots, Riverdale will come to an end in spring 2023 with its seventh season. Not to mention all the killer secrets, dead-or-alive mysteries, and the timeline-altering Season 7 finale twist that dramatically complicates things.

Every Riverdale fan knows all too well that the show never shy away from going big. Between all the universe jumping, organ-harvesting cults, bear attacks, and seizure-causing water, a lot of stuff has yet to be explained properly. Sure, but there are several mysteries that Riverdale would simply never resolve without resolving.

Is Barchie or Varchie the endgame?

Season 6 put a lot of effort into resolving the conflict between the Barchie/Varchie love triangle. Betty and Archie have been on a good track since they reconnected in Riverdale, and they even got engaged in the Season 6 finale. Both Barchie and Varchie have a solid shot in Season 7... at least until everyone gets their thoughts back.

2.Is Bughead or Jabitha the endgame?

Bughead is the biggest threat to Barchie being the endgame, as he has already had a fan-favorite relationship with Jughead at the end of the series, and although it faded out after high school, there's certainly a possibility the Bughead relationship might be rekindled at the end of the series. But again, Jugheads is the only person who still has his memories of Tabitha, and there's no way he'll leave Tabitha right away.

Is Choni a dead game?

The question was originally asked, but I think we all know the answer. Cheryl and Tonis' chemistry is so unenviable that Heather resisted sending them out, and they had Baby Anthony in Season 6, but... who is sending Toni and Fangs? As probably the most beloved ship, a Choni reunion is pretty much a lockout for Season 7.

Is Falice the endgame?

Ah, remember the good old days when Alice Cooper was not the greatest mother ever? Those were the days of Falice, but F.P. Jones' wacky romance with Alice is the major exception. Skeet Ulrich left the show in Season 5, but Falice shippers are still waiting for Ulrich to make a return in the final season to give Alice a happy ending.

5.Will the program return to its original format?

The main gimmick from Season 7 is that the town has been transported back to the 1950s, only Jughead retaining his memories from the future. It is unclear whether or not Riverdale will keep the program in the 50s until its final season, as Jughead's memories are a clear indication that everyone else will remember everything in due time. Could the retro twist resemble Season 6's Rivervale event and only last five episodes, or it might be the new normal.

6.Is the supernatural stuff done for good or for bad?

Riverdale only strove for the supernatural, but never used magic or monsters. However, in Season 6, which ripped open portals to different dimensions, gifted each character with a superpower, and introduced witchcraft, it still seems like the superhero arc is over. If Sabrina returns in the final season, then what will be the outcome?

7.Will the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina have a satisfactory conclusion?

CAOS fans are still waiting for everyone's favorite Queen of Hell to get a proper sendoff, and although she was able to return for two Riverdale appearances, her story still feels very unfinished. Riverdales last season may serve as a good way to give CAOS the final blow it deserves.

Is Hiram really dead?

Each season of Riverdale introduces a new character to terrorize the town, but the show as a whole will have one main antagonist, Hiram Lodge, because Veronica has been responsible for pretty much every horrible event that happened to Archie and his friends, and it just wouldnt feel right to close the show without him. Supposedly, Hiram died in Season 6 when Veronica hired a hitman to take him out, but it's pretty sus that we never actually saw his death, and the only proof of his

Betty will not give in to her darkness and serial murderous genes, according to the new book.

Betty's internal struggle has been the same for the entire series: embrace the light with Archie or succumb to her serial killer genes that give her an impressive talent at solving crimes and hunting down bad guys in the show's world. As Agent Drake puts it, Betty's inner struggle is the same.

10.Was the whole show within Jugheads' heads?

Riverdale's final season will be the final opportunity to prove or refute the dominant fan belief that the entire series was created since the very beginning: Is this all in Jughead's head as a narrator as well as as a fiction writer? The long-discussed hypothesis implies that the entire series will be a collection of epic novels written by Jughead.

In spring 2023, The CW will release the last season of Riverdale.
