Angelina Jolie announced that her eldest daughter with Brad Pitt, Zahara Jolie-Pitt, would attend Spelman College on Sunday, Aug. 31. The actress shared the news on Instagram and shared a photo of the 17-year-old with her new classmates.
Jolie captioned the picture and thanked all new students at Atlanta's historically Black women's liberal arts college. Jolie said it's an honor to have a member as a new Spelman girl.
Jolie hosted a SpelHouse SendOff event with Zahara in Los Angeles. Its a fundraiser for Spelman and Morehouse colleges students, their families, and alumni. The mother-daughter duo was captured on video doing the electric slide during the get-together. Morehouse posted the video to their Instagram.
Pitt appeared to get emotional the following day, on August 1, when a People reporter asked him about his daughters' college acceptance at the premiere of his film Bullet Train in Los Angeles. In the video which People posted to Instagram, he responded. "That's stunning."
Jolie and Pitt have six children, including Maddox, a 20-year-old who reportedly began studying at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, in August 2019. They are also parents to Pax and Shiloh, and twins Vivienne and Knox.
When asked by an Entertainment Tonight reporter, a video of Shiloh dancing to Doja Cats Vegas became viral. Pitt also shared his thoughts about his daughters' viral video during the premiere of Bullet Train.
It tears a tear to the eye. It's very beautiful, the actor added, adding that he couldn't be more proud of his children. I love them to develop their own path, discover things they're interested in, and blossom.
