Not Okay's own slut period was inspired by Dylan OBriens' performance ...

Dylan OBrien claims that his own slut era influenced his performance in the Hulus satire film Not Okay.

The actor, who is 30 years old, admitted to E! News of his clout-chasing bad boy character Colin.

However, when asked if he still channels Colin in his everyday life, the actor simply replied, Oh, that's okay.

Back in April, OBrien had fans buzzing when he tweeted a slut period with no further context.

Although many thought he was talking about his personal life at the time, he clarified in his latest interview that slut era refers to a concept, it's like an energy.

The Teen Wolf alum has said that it is also, like, a sort of projection of where the world is going.

However, OBriens suggestive tweet wasn't the only time fans were yelling.

The internet went into a riot when the films' official TikTok account showed him trading his dark brown hair for a platinum blond buzzcut in August 2021. He also had temporary tattoos on both his arms.

Quinn Shephard, the director, said she was trying to splice the scum bro and fkboy fuzzies into OBriens' future roles.

I mean, it was definitely intended to be a reference to the like, and people refer to it as the scum bro aesthetic, as she told Newsweek last month.

Justin Bieber and Pete Davidsonvibe are similar to the MGK, except for the bleached blonde hair and the tattoos. I wanted to give him a fkboy makeover.

She continued, I was like, Can we have a complete, crazy character with this? Because his character is the most, like, heightened and kind of campy in the film.

Not Okay is now streaming on Hulu.
