Hannibal Lecter is well-known for his spooky serial murderous performance in The Silence of the Lambs. Jodie Foster is equally adept as the character in this film. Both won the Academy Award for Best Film Editing and Best Picture in 2002.

Hannibal Lecter is well-known for his chilling serial killer role in The Silence of the Lambs. Throughout the film, Lecter serves as Clarice Starling's serial killer consultant as she searches for Buffalo Bill. After all, a serial killer must be knowledgeable of a murderer.

Hannibal Lecter's phrasing and Anthony Hopkins' creepy delivery have made this one of the most famous film lines of all time. He believes himself to be a man of integrity and class. However, if you are not a medical professional, you may have missed an additional point. MAOIs or monoamine oxidase inhibitors are often used by Lecter to dispel his thoughts.

The Silence of the Lambs is a fantastic film. Anthony Hopkins is absolutely fantastic as the psychiatrist/serial killer, and Jodie Foster is equally excellent as Clarice Starling. Both won the Best Actor and Best Actress at the Oscars this year, while Ted Tally won the Best Picture. The only awards that the film was nominated for were Best Film Editing and Best Sound.

Anthony Hopkins starred as Hannibal Lecter for the first time in The Silence of the Lambs, and again in the prequel Red Dragon in 2002. However, these films did not reach the heights of The Silence of the Lambs. Still, we can still see Mads Mikkelson in the lead role in Hannibal's TV show, Armageddon Time, which will be released on October 28.
