On IG, Hayden apologized heavily to Gabby and Rachel ...

Hayden Markowitz spent a brief but intense time on the Bachelorette Season with Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windeys, beginning with his frank Southern accent and ending with a dumpster fire of scorn and disrespect. Rachel sent him home after Hayden called Rachel and Gabby b*tches and told other contestants he didn't trust them. Now, after his eliminations, Hayden apologized to both Gabby and Rachel.

Hayden decided to declare to Gabby that he was only interested in pursuing Rachel, which hit Gabby hard. In Episode 4, he was seen mumbling with the other contestants at the mansion, comparing Rachel to his ex, and seemingly objectifying her in front of a large group of other contestants.

Hayden has come to pick up the pieces via Instagram following all of this.

I want to express my deepest apologies to both Gabby and Rachel for my actions. I accept full responsibility for not being the man I was created to be in those moments, especially towards these wonderful deserving ladies, Hayden wrote in an IG caption on Aug. 1, stating that he was unaware of the show due to the current events in his life. (Although he wasn't explicit in the post, fans can probably assume he's talking at least in part about his dog, Rambo

Hayden stated that he hopes Gabby and Rachel will forgive him, although it isn't clear whether or not that will happen anytime soon. Rachel added that she felt terrible seeing how the conversation [with Gabby] went and that Hayden was given the benefit of the doubt. He should have been treated right then and there.

Gabby was particularly deceived by Hayden's public remarks about the situation. She said she need a public apology to explain what you did wrong, referencing Hayden and fellow contestant Jacob Rapinis' harsh rejections of her. Now, months later, nothing has changed except for Bachelor Nation.

Hayden has not reached out privately to Gabby and Rachel at the time of the recording of the podcasts, according to both Gabby and Rachel.

ABC is continuing the Bachelorette on Mondays at 8 p.m. ET.
