Another Starship Enterprise celebrity has died, and her name is Nichelle Nichols. Only three actors were ever cast in the original Star Trek cast.
Nichelle Nichols, a Star Trek actress who appeared from the first hour of the show, died on Saturday (07/30). She played Lieutenant Uhura in Spaceship Enterprise, which was popular among US fans from 1966 until 1969, as well as Scotty James Doohan (1920-2005), Pille DeForest Kelley (1920-1999), and Leonard Nimoy (1931-2015), who played Spock.

William Shatner, 91, remains a busy man. In October 2021, he visited NASA as a space tourist and documented strange events on RT America's Russia Today program.
George Takei played a Japanese helmsman before becoming Ensign Sulu. He had many one-off TV appearances and voice-overs. He has 225 IMBD credits. He is an avid supporter of LGBT rights and other causes. His tweets and criticism of Trump are well-known.
Walter Koenig, 85, is the third remaining major actor in the cast. The role of Pavel Andreievich Chekov, the navigator, was played by a Russian immigrant family's American-born son. Koenig is still working as an actor, similar to Takei, at which wedding to Brad Altman he served as best man. In 2020, he made an appearance in Unbelievable!!!!, a Star Trek parody.
