The film for Christopher Lloyd was shot in a haunted store in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, on July 30. According to US Magazine, the film is intended to appeal to families.

Christopher Lloyd plays Alec Windsor, a deceased guy who kidnapped her husband after she passed away. She also plays Sue, one of the kids' mother's children who remarried after her husband's death.

Donovan Colan, Dylan Martin Frankel, and Jaiden J. Smith play the boys who decide to spend the best holiday of the year at a Ghost Halloween store located in a creepy lot. Fascinated by the legend of Alec Windsor (Christopher Lloyd), the group discovers that they aren't alone as animatronics from the retail chain spring to life.

The boys soon learn that spirits are posing for the props, who for an hour on the anniversary of their death can possess things or people. Along with their friend Kate, played by Marissa Reyes, the boys must defeat the spirit trapped inside the store before midnight. If they don't, it will possess one of them for all eternity. Christopher Lloyd provides a much-needed star power to the film.

The trailer for Christopher Lloyd's film was unveiled at the opening of the Spirit Halloweens Flagship Store in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, on July 30. Colan, Frankel, and Smith made a surprise appearance at the event. The film was released online a couple days later at a Halloween-and-scenario convention called Midsummer Scream in Long Beach, California.

The film, directed by Christopher Lloyd, was shot mostly in the abandoned Toys R Us building in Georgia from the end of 2019 until November 2021. The film's main motivation, according to the President, is that it's inspired by some of his favorite kid adventure movies, such as The Goonies, Gremlins, and Monster Squad. The first iteration of the Spirit Halloween store opened in California in 1983. Founded by Joe Marver, who later sold the business to Spencer Gifts, the stores are not open all year. Instead, they take over abandoned retail spaces once used by shuttered retail stores. It's not surprising that the setting for a family-friendly horror film has become a meme, according toUS Magazine.
