Zahara, Angelina Jolies' daughter, will attend Spelman College. An honor ...

Angelina Jolies' 17-year-old daughter, Zahara, will begin her freshman year at Atlanta's Spelman College.

Sunday, the actress, 47, shared an Instagram photo with her Spelman sisters of Zahara.

The youngster was all smiles posing for the picture in a white tee and jeans.

Jolie captioned the social media upload. A very special place and an honor to have a family member as a new Spelman girl this year.

According to the private school website, Spelman, which was founded in 1881, is a historically black college and a global leader in the education of women of African descent.

Jolie, who is also the mother of Maddox, 20, Pax, 16, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 14, documented their experiences as eldest sons when he entered Yonsei University in South Korea in August 2019.

The Oscar winner explained to People of Maddoxs decision at the time. He has lessons multiple times a week to prepare.

Jolie told the magazine four months earlier that she was nothing but proud of Maddox, adding, "I look forward to everything he will accomplish."

When Maleficent's star dropped her and Brad Pitts' son off at Yonsei, she was filmed telling other pupils that she was attempting not to cry.

Maddox confessed to a reporter the following month that he did not know whether his father would come to Pitt.

In September 2019, he said, whatever happens, happens.

In September 2016, Jolie and her Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-star called it quits.

The former couple's legal battle has remained constant despite their being declared legally single almost three years later.

In May 2021, Pitt and his minor children were granted joint custody.

However, Judge John Ouderkirk was later disqualified from the case for failing to adequately disclose business relationships with Pitts attorneys, so the exes are still fighting for custody.
