The fight between Jake Paul and Hasim Rahman has been postponed due to more than just weight issues ...

After Tommy Fury withdrawn from their fight at Madison Square Garden, Jake Paul resigned. That was not the only issue that was at play when the decision was made to cancel the event.

The entire event was canceled because to a lack of interest in the program. Those who planned to pay a lot of money would lose a lot of money if they went forward.

Dave Meltzer stated on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that Jake Pauls concern with Rahmans weight was legitimate. However, they could have found a late replacement because interested people only wanted to see Jake fight. So the plug was put on.

The decision not to take on a replacement was because they knew that the program would not be successful financially and it would likely be financially in their best interests not to host the program, so I think it is a little bit of both.

Logan Paul, Jake Paul's brother, was recently chosen to compete in the WWE SummerSlam premium live event. His performance was generally considered to be excellent for a wrestler with little experience. It's possible that Logan's boxing career will wane.

Jake Paul's next move remains to be seen. He might find another opponent and schedule a different match. Fans have already lost faith in the fight, and it might not be as severe as Jake would like. However, there is an opportunity for him in WWE if he decides to go.
