Joe expressed his love for the LGBTQ+ community. They love him. Everyone has to take the time to laugh. When it comes to comedians, we think of it as fun humor laughter. Of course there are certain issues that our LGBTQ community is facing, including fear, people beating them up for no reason. I do not like Dave Chappelle to mock them or me. I just laugh, you know?

Joe made an allusion to the idea that comedy is a relief, but can also trigger traumas that are still fresh.

When you go into a comedy club after they have already started, and you try to get to your seat, they'll tear you up for about a half hour, according to the speaker. I find comedy to be a joy to be around.

Fat Joe's comments follow the cancellation of Chappelles Minneapolis show, which was postponed until the doors opened due to support from the city's First Avenue venue. Due to his frequent jokes about transgender people in his latest specialThe Closer and others, the venue moved Chappelles show from First Ave to the Minneapolis Varsity Theater.

The First Avenue team and you have worked tirelessly to make our venues the safest in the country, and we will continue with that mission, but in honoring that, we lost sight of the potential impact this would have on others. You may ask questions or comment here.

Chappelle made an unusual appearance on the Kevin Hart and Chris Rock Only Allowed Tour in New York City.
