Is a Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor rematch in the works? ...

Rumors have swirled about a possible reunion between retired boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. and former UFC champion Conor McGregor later this year. The prospect of the two legends stepping into the ring to face off once again is appealing and plausible.

McGregor has requested that the match between him and Mayweather be an official one, and that it be composed of ten rounds rather than 12. The fight will be weighed in at 155 lbs.

Nonetheless, one opposing figure who is hesitant to see Mayweather and McGregor lock horns is UFC President Dana White, who has publicly dismissed the possibility of a fight and expressed his displeasure at it happening. In fact, he considers the whole thing to be a hoax.

When asked about his thoughts, White replied that he has little interest in seeing that again. McGregor's next fight will likely be under the UFC banner, possibly against UFC Lightweight champion Michael Chandler.

McGregor has yet to respond or comment on his post, but the undefeated pugilist has shown an eagerness to put the gloves on for high-profile events and triumph over the likes of Tenshin Nasukawa, Logan Paul, and Don Moore. On the other hand, McGregor has lost three of his last four UFC matches after suffering a broken leg.

Mayweather received roughly $250 million in their first bout, while McGregor walked away with a reported $100 million. McGregor is said to have been offered $157.9 million for the rumored rematch.
