Jenner, who was born Bruce Jenner, became known to the world in 1970 when she competed in the Drake Relays as a decathlete. She then went on to compete in the Summer Olympics in 1972 and 1976. In 1976, she won a gold medal in the decathlon in Montreal. Soon after, she decided to quit the sport.
At the time, an Olympian said, I decided I would do what I was doing for four years and give it my all. After that, I would move on to something else. I knew immediately that going into that competition that I would never do anything like that.
After winning the gold medal, Jenner became a household name on the covers of Sports Illustrated, GQ, and Playgirl, and she was a spokesperson for Wheaties in Hollywood. She played the handsome athlete in Cant Stop the Music (1980) and CHiPs (1981), an NBC crime drama. In 1996, Bruce Jenner's World Class Decathlon was made.
Jenner joined reality television in 2007 when she invited E! viewers into their house and told them how their blended family lived. This program was titled Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, and Rob Kardashian were all married in April 1991. With her late ex-husband Robert Kardashian, Caitlyn had Burt Jenner and Casey Marino with her first wife Chrystie Crownover.
I am so fortunate. After the Kardashians announced the end of their reality show in 2020, the athlete said on her YouTube channel, I have the finest home movies ever. Ive watched all of my children grow up on the network. Ive seen them get married, divorced, have children, and now watch Kendall and Kylie grow up.
Caitlyn and Kris got a divorce in 2015, and she appeared as a transgender woman on the cover of Vanity Fair. Since then, she has been a vocal advocate for trans rights.
