During SummerSlam, WWE avoids mentioning Vince McMahon ...

Vince McMahon made headlines in June when he secretly paid $3 million as a settlement to a departing employee. Because of this, McMahon was under investigation, and he had to retire.

McMahon has also paid $12 million in hush payments to several women over the last twenty years. This was the last straw for many people, ultimately leading to McMahon's demise.

Vince McMahon is known to scupper those who may risk jeopardizing WWE's reputation, and he is now on the list. A match between Pat McAfee and Happy Corbin was featured in SummerSlam.

McAfees' interaction with Steve Austin from WrestleMania38 was avoided in the video package that aired before the match. According to PWinsider, the room which was originally used as Vinces' Office backstage before his departure was listed as the CEO office at SummerSlam.

SummerSlam did not include all of the old signs that would have featured McMahon's name. This is the start of a new era in WWE, one in which they do not mention the man who brought the company to this point.
