Instagram Has Recognized Your Complaints, And It's Going To Reintroduce Recent Changes ...

After a social media storm unfolded with the tag Make Instagram Instagram Again, Instagram is rewinding on the changes it's been making. According to Instagram's Head, Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian shared an Instagram post on July 25 requesting the platform to stop being TikTok.

Mosseri said in a July 28 interview with Platformer that we must take a big step back and regroup. If we're not failing occasionally in a while, we're not thinking big enough or bold enough... For the new feed designs, people are frustrated and the usage data isnt great... I think there we need to take a big step back and regroup.

Mosseri said youll be pleased to hear that the major step back is reducing the percentage of feeds that are recommendations. The outcry against the changes included urging Instagram to focus more on friends and family photos rather than people that you dont know.

I don't think that connecting people with their friends and family is any less important to us than it was two years ago, five years ago, or eight years ago. But how that works, and how we try [to] fulfill that need, has changed as people communicate with their friends, according to Platformer.

Instagram should go slow down to make changes, according to the saying. People are more interested in video than photos, and that's been the case for a while now.

He stated that Instagram should do a better job of explaining something before it happens. A great idea. Mosseri did not provide a timeline for when Instagram would re-establish itself in its previous glory, but at least users know that recent changes are not here to stay.
