Season 5 of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous is explained ...

*WARNING: There will be spoilers in Season 5 of Camp Cretaceous and Jurassic World Dominion*.

From the start, Netflix's animated Camp Cretaceous series has provided viewers with plenty of dinosaur thrills, and has also connected some of the dots in the latest trilogy.

After fans were left with an agonizing cliffhanger to end season 4, the show finally resumed for its highly anticipated fifth and final season in July 2022 as it picks up the tale of the lovable gang of misfits.

The conclusion of Camp Cretaceous season 5 has its flaws and turns, but this must be explained.

Season 5 of Camp Cretaceous plot preview

On Thursday, July 21, 2022, Season 5 of Camp Cretaceous made its way onto Netflix.

The season 4 finale continues with the gang surrounded and captured by Mantah Corps BRAD robots and the company's president, Daniel Kon Kenjis father.

Daniel is initially friendly towards the children, but it soon becomes clear that he has ulterior motives and threatens to harm Mae, a nice Mantah Corp scientist, by threatening her with hell if she does not help him.

Daniel hopes to sell controllable dinosaurs to a slew of investors by using the Mantah Corp's control chips. The majority of potential buyers have withdrawn, except BioSyn, the company that has agreed to place an order for the control chips once they have been perfected.

Despite almost being eaten on numerous occasions, the group, which has grown sympathetic towards dinosaurs, is against the plan and begins fighting to stop Mr Kon.

Kenji turns his back on the group and loves interest Brooklynn when he gets the chance to reunite with his father.

Season 5 of Camp Cretaceous: What Happened?

Kenji begins to question his father's cruel nature as the material clears up.

Daniel brings a number of dinosaurs from Isla Nublar to the island to try out, including the group's Ankylosaurus companion, Bumpy.

Kenji finds his father to be a step too far, locking down his ability to create more chips with a password.

Kenji eventually rejoins the gang on the Mantah Corps island and, after some initial hostility, they take him back when he apologizes for being trampled.

Yaz and Sammy confessed their feelings for one another while Kenji was away, gaining the trust of Ben, Darius, and Brooklynn.

Despite the fact that everything isn't going to be fine on the island, the facility's power core is on the verge of overloading, which has been causing earthquakes and releasing harmful gases into the air.

The group exploits this to their advantage and stage a fake core overload by triggering the alarm and then reusing knockout gas to recreate the poison, which results in Daniel fleeing the island, although not before Kenji gave him the password to create additional chips.

Despite Mr Kon's departure, the dinosaurs on Mantah Corps island are now safe, and after being stranded since the collapse of Jurassic World, the group is finally rescued when Darius' older brother, Brandon, as well as Roxie and Dave, arrive on the scene with some help from Mae.

Episode 12 comes to an end with a time jump, and the gang travel all over the world but remain in touch as they connect regularly via video calls.

Kenji is now living with Darius and his brother, Yaz and Sammy are still together, Ben is back on the island with Mae and Bumpy, and Brooklynn is researching a dinosaur escape at the Lockwood Estate referencing the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and how the dinosaurs came into the real world.

Link to Jurassic World Dominion

Season 5 of Camp Cretaceous includes several references to Jurassic World Dominion, the final film in the Jurassic World trilogy.

BioSyn and their CEO, Lewis Dodgson, are at the core of these ties.

Dodgson and BioSyn place an order for Mantah Corps control chips that would be later used in Dominion to control the dinosaurs kept in the BioSyns sanctuary in the Dolomite mountains.

BioSyn is included in season 5, but Lewis Dodgson makes an appearance, arriving on the Mantah Corps island in episode 6 to personally negotiate with Daniel Kon.

Daniel and Kenji go to Isla Nublar to supervise the testing of the control chips.

Dennis Nedrys Barbasol discovers a can from the first Jurassic Park film that he was planning to use to smuggle dinosaur embryos off the island before he was killed by a Dilophosaurus while on Isla Nublar.

Dodgson is even seen being chased by several of the same dinosaurs in the sequence.

Both the Barbasol can and the Dilophosaurus have links to Dominion, as Dodgson is seen possessing the can in the film and is also killed by the deadly dinosaurs in the movie's end.

After its release on July 21, 2022, Season 5 of Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous is available on Netflix.
