The Athletics' Jack Pitt-Brooke has been talking about Tanguy Ndombele and his future at Tottenham on The Last Word on the Spurs YouTube channel.
Antonio Conte has frozen Ndombele out of the Spurs' pre-season tour, while before his loan move to Lyon, he was training away from the first-team.
Spurs want to get JR off the books this summer, although it may be easier said than done.
Ndombele isnt in the headlines at the moment, according to Pitt-Brooke, and while there is an interest from Marseille, the Ligue 1 club does not have the funds necessary to make a deal.
What has been said?
Pitt-Brooke talked about the Ndombeles situation.
Marseille, I am told, wants him, but Marseille does not have any money, so I think it will be easier to move Ndombele than the other two, according to Pitt-Brooke.
I am optimistic about them signing a contract for Lo Celso to go and for Reguilon to go. They are experienced players, and they will not be paid the amount they want, but I am certain it will happen.
Ndombele, im not optimistic about it happening, I just don't believe he is in demand enough in Europe. I love Ndombele as a player, but I don't believe clubs out there are that are eager to sign him.
Ndombele is right now in a horrible position.
The Frenchman is in a complete transfer limbo. He has no future at Spurs, but he has too much money for any other club to consider signing him.
He may leave for a lower wage, but let's be honest, who in their right mind would switch away from his current Tottenham terms.
Spurs may also subsist on a loan agreement, but again, paying a player to move elsewhere may not be of great benefit to the team.
At the moment, Ndombele is in a very dire position.
