Liz Truss, who is she?
Elizabeth Mary Truss, 46, was born in Oxford and studied atMerton College in Economics.
Before she took on the position of deputy director of Reform, she worked for Shell and Cable & Wireless. In January 2008, she joined the company as a director ofReform.
Liz has served as an MP for South West Norfolk since 2010 and was appointed Environment Secretaryfrom 2014 to 2016 and Justice Secretaryfrom 2016 to 2017. She has also been Minister for Women and Equalities since 2019.
In September 2021, she was promoted from International Trade Secretary to Foreign Secretary.

Hugh OLeary, an accountant, studied at the London School of Economics, and is thought to be of a similar age to Liz, 46 years old.
The pair met at a Tory Party conference in 1997, and went on a date shortly thereafter.
