Omari Hutchinson has confirmed his arrival to Chelsea from Arsenal on Instagram after beginning his academy career at Chelsea. It comes after an excellent season with Arsenal's Under-23 team.
Hutchinson, 18, spent two years at Chelsea before moving to Charlton. After joining Arsenal at Under-12 level in 2015, he spent the last seven years with the Gunners, coming close to a senior debut.
Chelsea is impressed with his form as a teenager, who played 21 games for the reserves last season, scoring eight goals and a hand in another seven.
Jamaica has called up Hutchison, who spent the last two seasons with England's Under-19 team. Now, the season has become even better when he joins Chelsea's Under-21 team.
Chelsea's departure from Arsenal has been confirmed by Hutchison.
Hutchinson has little hope of making the starting eleven for Thomas Tuchels, despite him playing on the bench for Arsenal last season. The competition is huge in the attacking areas at Stamford Bridge.
Callum Hudson-Odoi, Mason Mount, Ross Barkley, Kai Havertz, Raheem Sterling, and others will all sit back. Perhaps starring for the 23s might allow him to participate in the Carabao Cup. That, or he goes on loan.
Hutchison will be looking to make his mark and grab Tuchel's attention this season. Over the next couple of seasons, he may make his way into the senior side, if he does well with the 21s or goes on loan.
