After scoring just one goal in 2021/22, a Liverpool forward is working with a specialist ...

Harvey Elliott is now working with specialist shooting coach Scott Chickelday as he prepares to make his mark in the Premier League.

After suffering a horrific ankle injury at Elland Road, the 19-year-old only scored one goal in 12 appearances last season.

Before the unfortunate incident, Elliott had made good progress under Jurgen Klopp, but he is now keen to improve things. After hiring a professional to assist him

Chickelday, who manages Billericay Town, also collaborates with Aston Villa forward Ollie Watkins, and, based on online footage, the Liverpool No.19 is doing well.

Elliott was described as a hotshot on Twitter, while also claiming that his ability is a nice joke in a nice way.

Below, you can see video of the youngster working under the boss of Billericay Town.

Sky Sports was able to speak with Chickelday, who explained that Elliott prefers a wrap shot, in which he tends to wrap his foot around the ball rather than smash it.

Chickelday said, "Shooter choice is critical." We try to make a lot of the shot decisions based on goalkeeper movement, so we use goalkeepers when we can. If we cant, we use a goal screen." We use different angles, different parts of the foot, and different parts of the area.

Harvey has a bit of a wrap shot, so we work a lot on that. With Ollie, we work on a lace shot.

Elliott has found a coach that is attuned to the little things, which is wonderful.

Elliott should not be allowed to score a lot of goals for Liverpool, according to our opinion.

The England Under-21 international has already claimed that he can net 15 or 20 goals for the Reds this season, and while wed be surprised if he achieves that feat, he can definitely score double figures.

Elliott is absurdly talented, but he plays as a No.8 coming in from the right, surrounded by Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

We believe Liverpool No.19 will be in some fantastic positions when he gets surrounded by two of the finest creative sources.

Elliott will hopefully recover from another serious injury and continue his efforts in the 2022/23 season.
