Everton and Newcastle United are among a number of Premier League clubs who will be interested in Arnaud Kalimuendo as Leeds United's interest in the Paris Saint-Germain talent dwindles.

According to 90min, the Whites were close to signing a deal worth more than 20 million. However, Elland Road's director of football Victor Orta is now struggling to get the transfer over the line due to a host of top-flight players becoming aware of Kalimuendos' availability this summer.

After bringing Kalimuendo on loan to RC Lens last season, OGC Nice and Stade Rennais are keen to keep him in Ligue 1. The 20-year-old has strengthened on his chances for 12 goals in 32 games.

Kalimuendo had seven goals and five assists in his first season with RC Lens in 28 Ligue 1 games. However, his performances in the Pas-de-Calais area did not result in a breakthrough with Paris Saint-Germain, for whom he has only played four senior matches.

Despite Leeds' offer, Everton and Newcastle have been approached over PSGs Arnaud Kalimuendo.

A second season in front of goal might lead the France U21 forward to move to England. Leeds have not yet given up on their interest in Kalimuendo, but Brighton, Crystal Palace, Everton, and Newcastle have all been alerted to the availability of PSG gems.

Over the previous week, contact was made with each Premier League team to express their interest in the Suresnes-born forward. Yet Orta is still hopeful of reaching an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain for Kalimuendo to join Leeds before the new league season begins in August.

Following the recent contact over the Kalimuendos situation, Newcastle may now be a greater threat. CBS reporter Ben Jacobs suggested earlier in the month that the Toon, along with Leeds, are interested in Kalimuendo, who joined the PSGs academy in 2012.
