After he joined Arsenal, Ben Foster has been talking about Gabriel Jesus on his YouTube channel.
Prior to the 2022/23 season, the former Watford goalkeeper made some pre-season predictions, and believes the Brazilian could be a real game changer for the Gunners.
Foster is a huge supporter of Jesus, stating that he is a fantastic signing for Arsenal, and that the centre-forward never received enough credit for his contributions to Manchester City during his time in the north-west.
What has been said?
Foster talked about Jesus.
Gabriel Jesus is a huge signing, and I honestly don't believe he gets the credit he deserves. He played for Manchester City and people think he should be scoring five goals a game. It doesnt work like that sometimes, as they use cutbacks and midfield overloads and everyone else will score the goals. Arsenal have been crying out for that guy for years, and I think hell do well this year, according to Foster.
It's time to prove himself.
Foster believes that Jesus did not get the recognition he deserved at Manchester City, but now he has the opportunity to demonstrate his abilities at Arsenal.
The Brazilian will be the focal point of the Gunners' attack, and with the likes of Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, and Gabriel Martinelli around him, he should have plenty of chances to score goals.
Jesus time at City was criticized for failing to score enough, but playing as a lone number nine at Arsenal should give him a great opportunity to demonstrate that he is capable of becoming the elite striker that every elite club desires.
