Arsenal has been told they will not be signing a 23-year-old West Ham transfer target ...

As he told the Highbury Squad, Kevin Campbell claimed Arsenal would for sure not sign West Ham United's transfer target Gianluca Scamacca from Serie A club Sassuolo.

Mikel Arteta, a Highbury legend, believes he will stick with the two strikers he has at his disposal during the next Premier League season, Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah.

Scamacca is a sought-after player, with several clubs keen to add the 23-year-old to their roster, including West Ham United and Newcastle United.

There's no doubt that the Hammers need a further forward than their London opponents, with Michail Antonio the only one who can take the lead on a regular basis.

Despite those links with Sassuolos flourishing forward, Campbell does not expect Arteta to sign another player before the transfer window closes in September.

Mikel Arteta is going to go with (Jesus and Nketiah as the strikers), according to Campbell. I think to invest in another striker, who isn't going to play, I can't see it happening.

We have other areas where we need to fill gaps. That's for certain, Scamaccas will not be coming to Arsenal.

ENOUGH JESUS AND NKETIAH?

Arsenal is looking for Champions League football and Arteta will simply cannot afford to fall on next season, because otherwise he would be put under huge pressure.

Before the new campaign, a 15+ Premier League goal striker is required, but are the Gunners able to stutter against that obstacle if Jesus and Nketiahs potential goals?

Emile Smith Rowe, Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, Fabio Vieira, and Bukayo Saka are all expected to contribute to Arteta.

Sakas' 11 Premier League goals proved last time out will not pose a problem.

But they need someone to beat the big numbers, and a lot of that pressure will be on Jesus' shoulders because he is the one who will play a crucial role.
