Disney+ is a streaming service that offers quality family entertainment. Like, Cinderella. OrDoc McStuffins. OrTurning Red. Or, wait,Deadpool? Was that movie rated R?
Both of them will be available on Disney+ starting tomorrow, according to Marvels' official Twitter account, which just announced that the R-ratedLogan will be available this week.
The firstDeadpool was rated R for strong violence and language throughout, sexual references, and graphic nudity.Deadpool 2 was rated R for strong violence and language throughout, and for brief drug material.Loganwas R for strong brutal violence and language throughout, and for brief nudity.
When Disney+ was initially launched, it was primarily populated with entertainment for the whole family. Even after Disney acquired 20th Century Fox and its library, the company only added its children's titles likeHome Alone to the service, while also offering more adult offerings on its sister site, Hulu. But earlier this spring there were reports that Disney was looking to add its first R-rated film to Disney+. Here are three of the films that are certain to be streaming there starting this week.
Disney has decided that expanding its Marvel library, which already includes every Marvel Cinematic Universe film (except theSpider-Man films), as well as Fox's other X-Men movies likeX2, andDays of Future Past, is more valuable than maintaining its brand as a streaming service for kids and families. So if you dont want your kids to see Ryan Reynolds make nasty jokes, it is easy to do.
Here's how to get Disney+.
