In the last year, other big tech businesses have been out of service, such as Meta, which kept WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger out of reach for billions of users.

According to user reports on Downdetector, Twitter was down for several users earlier this month. Although the service appeared to be working normally in India, other parts of the world, including the United States, appeared to be affected by the outage.

According to Netblocks, an Internet monitoring organization that tracks intentions to block internet access, Twitter was experiencing significant international outages, but it was not related to country-level internet disruptions or filtering.

Twitter used its famous Fail Whale illustration, a beluga being lifted by birds, for such occasions until 2013, when it removed the logo.
