This new Razer Blade 14 color choice has me enthralled ...

Razer has announced a new color for its top-quality Razer Blade 14 notebook, quartz pink to be exact. However, this coloration only comes with a select setup.

According to the producer, you will also be outfitting your equipment with a Nvidia GeForce 3070 Ti notebook GPU and an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX notebook CPU in order to get your hands on the brand-new Razer Blade 14 colorway.

As a reward, all Quartz and Black colors now support USB 4 (USB-C) and Microsoft Pluton security processors. This allows you to connect it to exterior GPUs like the Razer Main X Chroma, and it now supports USB-C charging up to 100W.

The Quartz Pink Razer Blade 14 will be priced at $2,599 (about 2,167 / AU$ 3,769) and is now available on the official Razer internet site (opens in new tab), with far further shops coming soon.

Why is this so horrifying?

Razer made a wise move by incorporating the brand name into a particular notebook design. And, while it may make sense organization-clever, it feels unfair that when a stunning and exceptional shade is eventually available, it has to be with a higher-close model of an already expensive laptop computer series.

The notion of shades getting locked into specific models, even if it was a considerably cheaper laptop computer, does not sit very well. It appears to be something that could evolve into a market standard, as quite a few prospective purchasers have usually complained about the absence of colorways on their laptops, and this is a way for businesses to capitalize on this.

Razer does offer Skins (opens in new tab), which are decals that can be applied to your laptop to personalize its appearance. However, this does not substitute for choosing the correct shade for your equipment.
