The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is currently being directed by Nina Jacobson, who has previously handled film roles for Catching Fire and Mockingjay Part Two. Highbottom is supposed to be the dean of the academy, and this new film might have even more noteworthy roles.

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is a new Hunger Games prequel film that has received a ton of casting news. Now, Peter Dinklage has officially joined the cast. Highbottom is said to be the Dean of the Academy.

Peter Dinklage is a fantastic hire, and it's a bit strange that he's never been asked before to take part in any of the franchise's previous films. In The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, however, Snow will be the sort of mentor of the young Coriolanus Snow, who is played by Tom Blyth.

Another note is that Dean Highbottom (Peter Dinklage) also sets the rules for the game, so we might be able to observe how the tributes are handled in the tenth Hunger Games. She plays Lucy Baird, who is from District 12 where Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) was born. Snow believes he can use her to win the games once he has been made his mentor. Nina Jacobson and her producing partner Brad Simpson are back. Jacobson has been a long-time producer on the franchise thus far. Lawrence is also serving as a producer. Suzanne Collins, Tim Palen, and Jim Miller will be the executive producers of this new film.

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes will be released in November of 2023. This new prequel film is expected to spark another slate of films, much like the original. It's going to be fascinating to see Peter Dinklage play a cutthroat character.
