Lily Allen's first TV role seems to be a disaster. She plays the solitary sister at the heart of a new comedy drama tackling complex family dynamics. However, she has had minor roles in How To Build A Girl, Elizabeth, and even Neighbours before, according to Mail Online.

The Dreamland Plot

Sharon Horgan's short story Dreamland is currently shot in Margate, Kent, and the film is inspired by the town's historic fairground and amusement arcade of the same name. It's based on the short film Morgana Robinson's Summer, which was released in 2017, and will feature a number of the same characters and themes.

It's a dark comedic investigation of multi-generational female relationships and their (somewhat dysfunctional) family dynamics in Margate, which is set in the sun-drenched British seaside town of Dover. Dreamland's Cast

Samantha Bond, who played MI6 secretary Miss Moneypenny in four James Bond films, will also play a guest role. In Dreamland, shell will be joined by Doctor Whos Freema Agyeman, Stath Lets Kiell Smith-Bynoe, Aimee-Ffion Edwards (Peaky Blinders, Skins) and Benidorms Sheila Reid.

Release Date for Dreamland

Though a release date has yet to be announced, it has already been confirmed that the program will debut on Sky Comedy and NOW TV sometime in 2023.
