If you like sneakers, you've probably heard of the new Louis Vuitton and Nike collaboration. The limited edition collection is dedicated to the late Virgil Abloh, who died in November 2021. It features the brands familiar Nike swoosh in a variety of colours and materials.
According to High Snobiety, the brands adopted a slightly different strategy for limited edition trainers. Instead of the usual online rush of first-come-first-served, a lottery-like system was implemented to help smooth the sales process. However, demand appeared to be so great that the Louis Vuittons website still crashed. Perhaps it wasnt the most efficient system after all.
The first batch of the Air Force 1 collection went on sale at 12 p.m. on July 19, but it has now expired. According to Complex, just nine of these pairs were selected for the most recent drop, and a total of 21 colourways are expected to arrive in stores.
Keep checking back here for more information on when the next 12 designs will be released. In the meantime, prices in the most recent collection started at 2,297.
