According to a journalist, Mikel Arteta is obsessed with one player that Arsenal wishes to sign ...

Fabrizio Romano has been discussing Oleksandr Zinchenko's move to Arsenal on the Here We Go podcast.

Romano claims that the Ukrainian will sign for Arsenal in the coming days, and according to the journalist, Mikel Arteta is quite happy with this acquisition.

In fact, the reporter claims that the Arsenal manager is obsessed with the Manchester City man, claiming that the gaffer is convinced that Zinchenko will be a key player for the Gunners.

What has been said?

Romano discussed Zinchenko's and Artetas' views on the 25-year-old.

Zinchenko's contract is a done deal, and the pair have reached an agreement. He may leave Man City's training camp today to join Arsenal and complete his medicals. Arteta is obsessed with him and is confident that he will be a key player for the project.

Where will he play?

Arteta is believed to believe that Zinchenko will be a key player for Arsenal this season, although they were unsure where to start.

The Premier League winner has been most notably used as a left-back at Manchester City, but he came through as a midfield player and he plays in the centre of the park for his country.

To be honest, playing in the midfield would make the greatest sense at Arsenal. After all, Kieran Tierney excels at the left-back position, while, with all due respect, Granit Xhaka hasnt been the most trustworthy of servants.

Zinchenkos's versatility means he can play anywhere on the pitch, but we think he would rather be playing in the midfield.
