A journalist claims that Newcastle might sign Broja for a 23-year-old if West Ham signs the player ...

Sky Sports' Pete Graves has been discussing the Newcastle Rovers' search for a new striker on the Transfer Talk Podcast.

The Magpies are in the market for a new number nine this summer, as many Newcastle fans will know. They have been linked with the likes of Hugo Ekitike, Alexander Isak, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but they have yet to make any significant progress on this front.

Gianluca Scamacca and Armando Broja are two new players on Newcastle's transfer radar, but West Ham are also interested in both.

Graves has suggested that a move for Scamacca might be on the cards if the Broja transfer goes ahead.

Graves discussed Scamacca and Broja.

They need a striker, a young striker who would play second-fiddle to Callum Wilson. There are players on the list, though, like West Ham, Broja, there was an interest there, and Scamacca was another one in Italy, so I wonder if West Ham sign one of them if Newcastle go for the other one.

An excellent move.

Newcastle may sign striker Marcus Scamacca, who would make him a great fit for the Tyneside outfit.

The Italian is, like Calvert-Lewin and Isak, a very ruthless forward, but he also has an incredible deadly shot and a truly unconventional style of play.

It's difficult to watch Scamacca and not be reminded of a young Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and if Newcastle brought him in, they'd be getting a seriously talented player.

Scamacca, an Italian international who scored 16 Serie A goals last season, is in the works.
