West Ham United is interested in signing Orel Mangala and are fighting Nottingham Forest for the Stuttgart midfielder this summer.
With Swansea City signing flynn Downes, the Hammers have added another new midfielder this summer.
Given that Mark Noble has resigned and Alex Krals' miserable loan spell has come to an end, West Ham may still need a new midfielder.
Add to that the future of Tomas Souceks is a little hazy, and West Ham is advised to look at other midfielders.
Orel Mangala is wanted by West Ham United.
Amadou Onana, a Lille star, is the main target at the moment.
West Ham is confident in securing Onana in a 32.5 million deal, according to the London Evening Standard.
West Ham would be wise to consider other targets, considering that Lille is understandably hesitant to sell the 6ft 5in Belgium international.
Mangala, a Stuttgarter, is attracting considerable Premier League attention.
West Ham are keen on signing Mangala, according to German publication Stuttgarter Nachrichten.
Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest are also interested in signing the 24-year-old.
Mangala is another promising young Belgium midfielder who is linked to Onana, who is currently in the Belgium international team.
Mangala is a top box-to-box midfielder who can maneuver the ball brilliantly in tight areas.
The former Anderlecht and Borussia Dortmund player does not have Onanas' height, but can offer something more going forward.
West Ham will have to consider both players, but Onana will certainly be the focus.
Cheick Doucoure has been signed by Palace, and while Forest is expected to sign Lewis OBrien, they would make more sense as a destination for Mangala than West Ham right now.
