Fabrizio Romano has bad news for Tottenham supporters, according to the whole agreement ...

Fabrizio Romano has taken to Twitter to announce that Juventus is close to agreeing to sign Tottenham forward Gleison Bremer.

This is bad news for Spurs fans as well as Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici.

Spurs were reportedly scouting the Brazilian defender, who was crowned Best Defender in Serie A last season after making 33 appearances for Torino.

As Juventus close in on his signing, the north Londoners appear to be set to miss out on Bremer.

Juventus have agreed to a 40 million (34 million) fee with Torino, without including add-ons, and have now offered the imposing centre-back a five-year contract.

Bremer is expected to accept a 5m-a-season (4m) contract from the Italian giants.

After talks with Arsenal to sign the 25-year-old, the news will also be a blow to the club.

After Bremer's official Juventus joining, it will be interesting to see what Paratici does.

Spurs have also shortlisted Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni, who helped Conte win the Serie A championship again in 2021, according to reports.

Tottenham is also interested in Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde, although the club appears to have lost out to Barcelona in that particular transfer dispute. The Frenchman has agreed to a four-year deal at the Camp Nou.

Pau Torres, who rejected a move to Spurs last summer in favor of staying at Villarreal, is still interested, although Manchester City is in competition.

Clement Lenglet has already signed for Paratici, although with concerns over Joe Rodon's future and Japhet Tanganga's, it appears another defender might follow Djed Spence to the N17.

As the search continues, it appears Tottenham will have to remove Bremer from their list.
