Newcastle United is believed to be one of the clubs considering a move for Chelsea flyer Callum Hudson-Odoi this summer, while footballer Alan Shearer heaped praise on him in 2019 for his ability with both feet.
Hudson-Odoi, 21, made just 22 starts in all competitions under Thomas Tuchel last season. The England international has suffered from enormous strain on the wing or right wing-back.
120k-a-week (Spotrac) Hudson-Odoi has been forced to watch from the bench for the majority of 21-22. He now has less than two years left on his contract.
Newcastle is believed to be interested in Chelsea's attacker. A player that Toon legend Shearer was extremely impressed with three years ago, for his ability to slap the ball with both feet.
Shearer told MOTD in 2019 that he can run on the outside and come on the inside.
Hudson-Odoi: Shearer praise is being considered by Newcastle in 2019.
Newcastle is looking for a right-winger, and Hudson-Odoi would be a fantastic signing either on loan or permanently. His contract situation opens the door to additional possibilities beyond the end of next season.
Perhaps, a loan-to-buy agreement may be struck between the two clubs. It would give Newcastle the option to buy him. However, Chelsea might want to keep him, especially if he excels on loan.
He is a young, but experienced footballer who has been proven in the Premier League. He might be another addition to Sven Botman and Bruno Guimaraes who may form the core of the new Newcastle.
