Kyle Richards defends laughing at Erika Jayne's remarks at Garcelle Beauvais' son ...

After angry fans lambasted her for laughing at Erika Jayne's teenage son, Kyle Richards felt she had to do something.

After two teases from the upcoming episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills became viral, I joked about a friend's drunken, ridiculous behavior. NOT about disrespecting someone's child, Richards, 53, said in an Instagram post Monday.

She continued: "I think you know me better than that by now." I wasnt even there to see this, but only heard about Erika and what she had said later on.

Richards, Dorit Kemsley, and their husbands, Mauricio Umanksy and Paul PK Kemsley, discussed Jaynes' boozy behavior during Beauvais' birthday celebrations, including propositions to Oliver's former co-hosts and then telling Jax, 14, to get the fk out of here.

Did you notice how Erika said to Garcelles' 14-year-old son to go fk off? Richards said to the group with a laugh. I mean, it's not funny, but it's funny.

Dorit, 45, smiled back before Umansky, 52, commented with a hearty chuckle. I think it's wonderful that she did that.

Jayne's 50-year-old side of Richards seemed more at ease, and Dorit agreed.

Dorit responded, stating, "I feel like that's why I can give a good grade." Of course, it's not my child.

She drank a few glasses. She does not get a lot like that. I don't think I ever remember a time when she was that loose and free.

Jayne appeared to be more sociable before retreading Richards' statements in a confessional: I used to wish she would open up more. I wish she would relax a bit.

Even if she isn't always showing her best side, seeing this side of her that's more open and honest is worth it.

Even the most die-hard Richards fans immediately flooded social media to express their displeasure. One Instagram user claimed that the dinner was a TOTAL makeup session for the couples from last season when they mocked Erika.

Beauvais, 55, is adamantly livid.

Beauvais replied, praising all three of her sons for showing respect even when they dont deserve it. (She is also the mother of Jax' twin brother, Jaid.)

Both Jaynes' remarks and Richards' responses to them will be available on Bravo Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET.
