Macy Grayis has been chastised for making remarks on Piers Morgans Uncensored talk show on July 4th. However, J.K. Rowling, a well-known Harry Potter author, is taking a stand for Macy.
Morgans show was tipped off by an I Try hitmaker on transgender women on his Instagram account. [Were] in an era now where most public figures are too afraid to even admit what they think a woman is.
The host askedGray to elaborate on how she defines a woman in her own words. Id say a human being with boobs. You have to start there. And a vagina!
Despite the fact that her remarks have irritated many in the LGBTQ+ community, Rowling took to her Twitter to express her support for the singer-songwriter.
In response to a critic who claimed that Gray had [killed] what was left of her [her] career in her interview with Morgan, she wrote back, Truth hurts. The author took a screenshot of the conversation and posted it to her personal page.
Rowling retold the story.
Bette Midler, who plays Hocus Pocus, was also chastised online yesterday for her ludicrous statements. She wrote, WOMEN OF THE WORLD! We are being stripped of our rights over our bodies, our lives, and even our names! Rowling also expressed support for this post by retweeting a post about it.
