Hugh Jackman Reacts to Wolverine Fan Theories in Deadpool 3 ...

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is slowly focusing on integrating the X-Men into the main narrative, which might start with Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool 3, but there are still plenty of intriguing theories and rumors about Hugh Jackman making a stunning comeback as Wolverine.

After Logan, Jackman seemed to have withdrawn from his role as James Howlett, ending an incredible 17-year run under the 20th Century Fox banner before Disney took over the character's rights. Although some speculation suggests that the adamantium-adorned mutant may be on his way to the Marvel Studios sooner rather than later, Wolverine is still expected to make his Marvel Studios debut.

Jackman has even joked about the possibility since Deadpool 3 was officially launched. More recently, the actor has gone on social media to express his own opinion of what he's heard in the press.

Hugh Jackman, who plays Wolverine, took to Twitter to express his opinion on rumors that he would reprise his long-time Mutant role in Marvel Studios' Deadpool 3.

Jackman's surprised remark was in response to a Wolverine return in Deadpool 3.

In his most recent tweet, he shared another image of him sitting at home, seemingly eager to see what exactly was happening this time around.

"Lets see what rumor the look on my face starts today," says the author.

Will Jackman Resurrect as Wolverine?

Hugh Jackman appeared to be done playing Wolverine following Logan's departure in 2017, but the rumors have continued to circulate since he left 20th Century Fox. This has particularly been the case with his potential links to Deadpool 3, with fans eager to see Logan and Deadpool team up for a meaningful story in some form, whether it be a comeback or another complete role.

Jackman has openly admitted that he would have liked to continue playing Wolverine if Marvel Studios acquired the X-Men sooner, but he hasn't backed away from reaffirming his desire for Deadpool 3 completely. This may be a way to gauge whether or not he'll return.

Deadpool 3 is already shaping up to be a major event in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, involving Wade Wilson directly into the franchise and seeing how he responds to his new surroundings. It's unquestionable that Jackman would be dropped completely.

Deadpool 3 is currently in the early stages of development with Marvel Studios, but there is no known release date yet.
