Two Burnley targets have skipped training ahead of a 5 million Turf Moor agreement ...

Jackson Muleka and Samuel Bastien missed training on Monday as Championship side Burnley attempt to secure a near-5 million double deal for the Jupiler League duo, according to HBVL.

Burnley have signed no less than four new players since announcing Sean Dyches as their full-time replacement a couple of weeks ago.

However, signings five and six are proving to be more problematic.

Burnley had agreed to a contract that would have seen Muleka and Bastien depart Standard Liege for Turf Moor late last week, according to reports. The latter, a gifted centre-forward who scored 15 goals on loan at Kasimpasa last season, was expected to cost around 4 million.

Bastien, a highly-rated midfielder who had previously been linked with a slew of Premier League clubs, would have set Burnley back another 700,000.

Mulekas is in danger of slamming into a nearby lampost, although a Bastien settlement appears to be on the right track.

Burnley are yet to reach an agreement with the Congo international, according to DH on Monday. Muleka then failed to turn up for the first day of pre-season training this week, taking a leaf out of Cristiano Ronaldos' book as he attempts to make a move.

Standard have attempted to contact Muleka to inquire about his whereabouts, but to no avail.

Bastien was also obvious by his absence, according to HLN. However, unlike Muleka, the former Chievo Verona ace was not expected to show up anyway. He is currently boarding a flight to Lancashire.

Burnley will say goodbye to Wout Weghorst sooner rather than later, from incomings to outgoings. The Dutch international arrived in Istanbul last night ahead of a move to Super Lig giants Besiktas.

Weghorst says Hurriyet that it's great to be here. I know (Besiktas) have been waiting for a long time. It's quite nice to be here.

The 6ft 6ins centre-forward takes a loan with a 12-million option-to-buy clause in his contract.
