Kalvin Phillips joined Manchester City from Leeds United on Monday, signing a six-year deal, and Jack Harrison has responded on Instagram to the news, but in the opposite direction.
After signing for Manchester City for Pep Guardiolas' side in January 2018, Harrison played for the Premier League champions in no one game.
Phillips spent the 18-19, 19-20, and 20-21 seasons on loan at Leeds before moving to Elland Road in the summer of 2021.
Phillips has joined Leeds after completing his entire career, according to Harrison. He responded to the news that Phillips has left Leeds to join his old club.
Harrison has responded: Phillips has completed his move to Manchester City.
Phillips' move is extraordinary. He goes from a team that barely escaped relegation, to a club that has grown to be favorites in the Premier League and Champions League with the signing of Erling Haaland.
Leeds will lose a crucial piece of their core, but one they had anticipated. Tyler Adams is now expected to join the club, which may strengthen in midfield even further, with Mo Camara another target.
Leeds is worth an initial 42 million, and they may use the money to sign a replacement for Raphinha as well as Phillips. Adams and Luis Sinisterra are expected to join the Whites for a combined 40 million this week.
