Tottenham has been warned against signing a 27-year-old after Richarlison ...

Stewart Robson has warned Tottenham against signing Clement Lenglet from Barcelona by claiming that he hasn't appeared like a top-class player for a number of years at the Nou Camp, according to ESPN.

Prior to a potential transfer, the former Arsenal player said he cant see Lenglet improving his Tottenham sideline.

Spurs have been a bit busy in the market, with Richarlison joining Everton for 60 million in a move.

Antonio Conte has added the Brazilian international to his roster, with Lenglet on his way to London for a medical exam.

As Robson shared his thoughts on the possibility of Lenglet being a permanent transfer like Richarlison, he would make a loan move in the vicinity of 4.31 million dollars.

According to Robson, Lenglet might go to Spurs to play in the back three. I am not sure. That Lenglet hasn't looked like a top-class player in the last couple of years at Barcelona.

If he does go there, I doubt he will improve Spurs.

When Kulusevski and Bentancur joined Juventus in January, they were not exactly on a wave, and there would have been doubts over their actions.

Both teams had fallen in Serie A and were not living up to expectations, but Conte's magic soon changed everything, with both playing a vital role in the club winning the Champions League.

Maybe Lenglet might go the same route as those two people, or perhaps they are examples that the 27-year-old can turn things around in north London.

Conte is known to get the most out of players, and if Lenglet joins Spurs, he will be hoping for that re-boot and a different direction in his career.
