The epidemic somehow ushered in a major construction boom in Las Vegas. Even though the city was closed for a brief period when its casinos had to close, construction in Sin City did not stop there.
During the epidemic, Resorts World Las Vegas opened, bringing a significant new casino to the somewhat neglected north end of the Strip. That project has led to a revitalization of the famous 4.2-mile stretch of road. The most notable project may be Fontainebleau Las Vegas, which has been on a fast-track to open in late 2023.
The north strip will be a more attractive destination that might be able to compete for tourists with the central and south strip areas dominated by Caesars Entertainment (CZR) - Get MGM Resorts International Report.
The Strip has become some of the world's most valuable real estate. Any scrap of land that is available is being sold for outrageous prices, and land that was once thought to be unsuitable for development has become valuable.
A new major casino project has been announced, which will bring a resort casino to an area on the Strip that had previously existed.

The airport in Las Vegas is actually quite close to the Strip, unlike many larger cities. However, there is not really a hotel right at the airport.

Dream Las Vegas, a new casino that is planned for the south end of the Las Vegas Strip right near the airport, will be built. It's being built by Shopoff Realty Investments, an Irvine, Calif.-based real estate company, and Contour, a privately-owned commercial real estate investment and development company.
According to CasinoBeats.com, the 19-story hotel will be modest by Las Vegas standards, including 526 rooms and suites, a casino, a nightlife venue, and 12,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
Dream Las Vegas is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2024.
Why Should I Make an Airport Casino?
People who want to travel to Las Vegas for a quick meeting are encouraged to use an airport hotel and casino. It's a minor inconvenience considering that the Strip's heart is not too far from the airport.
Due to its proximity to the airport, the project raised some security concerns.
We are pleased to have negotiated benefits for Dream Las Vegas that are mutually beneficial to Clark County as well as our partnership, according to Shopoff Realty CEO William Shopoff. We believe that this development will serve as a model for future development at the south end of the Strip.
The developers wanted to make it clear that they're looking to bring something different to the Strip.
I'm a Las Vegas native, born and raised, and I'll tell you what Dream will bring to the Strip, according to Contour CEO David Daneshforooz, who has also spoken on CasinoBeats. In Las Vegas, Dream Hotel Group will bring the same appeal to other areas, a well-designed intimate environment for both locals and visitors. This will be a departure from the mega-themed resort concept, bringing with it a new era of hotel and casino design.
