Sonya Deville re-emerged from WWE television in January 2020 for a new non-wrestling role. She was a regular feature on RAW and Smackdown as a WWE official until she was sacked from that position. Deville says she never encountered any homophobia in WWE during her time with Vince McMahons.
Deville and Naomi started a program together in a long-running feud that lasted months on Friday Night Smackdown. It finally ended with Naomi winning the battle.
Sonya Deville claimed she has never encountered any homophobia in WWE. She has been married to her girlfriend for a long time and is quite open about that fact.
I think Im the first openly out female in the WWE. I know Darren Young was an out male before me and he certainly shared his story and laid some groundwork for me. I think the environment has changed a lot, and I have never had any bad experiences backstage or within the company.
Deville has a lot going on in her life, and that's what matters in the end. Sonya Deville has also indicated that she will marry in the future. We'll see what Deville has in store for her.
