Arsenal & Chelsea have told the 50m footballer that they want to sign hasn't met their potential ...

According to ESPN, Steve Nicol, the arsenal and Chelsea transfer goal, Gabriel Jesus, hasn''t fulfilled his potential at Manchester City.

The Anfield legend believes that Jesus is more advanced than 100 million man Jack Grealish, who has struggled since joining the Premier League champions.

In Julian Alvarez and Erling Braut Haaland, Pep Guardiola has added more firepower to the Etihad this summer, therefore Jesus is questioning how many minutes he will have next season.

As a result, the 50 million forward is being tipped to leave, with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham all keen to take him on board.

Given those transfer rumors, Nicol isnt impressed by what the Brazilian international has produced over the years in Manchester.

Nicol claims that from the outside, it appears like Jesus has never been perceived to be the starting XI.

Although he was the right player to play through the middle for Manchester City, it seemed to be always apparent. I know that Aguero is not a fan of him.

I do not believe that he has fulfilled the potential we thought he had. I think it has gone through during his time there.

Yes, he had a great season towards the end of last season, but before that, when were we ever talking about him? This guy should be playing number nine or through the middle?

He isn''t better than your Grealishians and Mahrezs, but he''s not the best number nine and he''s not the best wide guy. He has been on the outside looking in. Sterling is worse than Jesus.

Even if Chelsea are going to sell Romelu Lukaku, the answer is still Arsenal.

Thomas Tuchel may still play Kai Havertz in that number nine role, although they will still select another striker this summer.

Mikel Arteta only has Eddie Nketiah to pick from, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leaving in January, and Alexandre Lacazette returning to Lyon.

Despite the fact that Spurs have a certain Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son firing their goals in, it is just a case of adding depth rather than bringing someone in to replace those players.
