Everton and Manchester United have five clubs who should pick Michael Edwards ...

According to reports, Michael Edwards is set to leave Liverpool this summer. Manchester United are now interested in appointing the Reds'' sporting director.

According to reports, Liverpools rivals United are interested in appointing Edwards, who has been instrumental in the Reds'' impressive rise in the last decade with his signings playing a key role in Jurgen Klopps'' Premier League and UEFA Champions League victories.

From signings such as Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker to getting some incredible value from Dominic Solanke and Phillipe Coutinho, Edwards is arguably the best transfer guru currently working in England, and it makes a lot of sense why United are interested in his services.

United have a massive job on their hands this summer with Erik Ten Hag, yet the Manchester United are far from the only side interested in Edwards, nor are they the only team capable of achieving the former Liverpool man''s remarkable abilities, according to five clubs.

Chelsea

Chelsea is reportedly interested in signing Edwards this summer, with the Blues signing back Marina Granovskaia on the back of Todd Boehlys'' transfer, and the American might make a statement by appointing the Liverpool sporting director.

Edwards is one of the finest in the business, and while Granovskaia excelled in negotiations with other clubs in obtaining the best deals, the English official has the capability to identify players who might lead Chelsea to the next level, with the Blues arguably the premier league side who have spent the most money on bad signings over the years.

Everton

Marcel Brands had a difficult task managing the Toffees for the season 21/22, one of the best of the years experience at the Merseyside club, and Edwards might be the perfect choice to replace him.

Liverpool supporters might be able to cross the divide in such a way, but given what they need, Edwards himself might be open to moving and to the rebuild project with Frank Lampard, who can do with all his financial help this summer.

LOSC Lille

Edwards'' departure from the Premier League would be high this summer, but LOSC Lille might be a perfect club for the former Liverpool employee, who was branded as a genius following his work at the English giants.

Lille owes a large part of their success in recent years to Luis Campos, another top sporting director who this summer has joined PSG, and for Edwards, the French side may be a difficult task in a division that will push the transfer guru to his absolute limits.

Manchester United

Manchester United are a mess of a football club, and their desire to see Edwards makes sense given the sporting directors at Liverpool''s impressive record over the years, with the Reds now miles ahead of their English rivals.

Ten Hag is yet to sign a contract this window, and although Edwards might not join this summer, the transfer expert would be a fantastic appointment for United if they can follow through on their interest in the sporting director in the next weeks.

RB Leipzig

RB Leipzig, a club linked with Edwards, is reportedly keen on the Liverpool striker shortly after it was revealed that the sporting director was leaving Anfield this summer.

Leipzig is one of Europe''s best-run football clubs, and the entire Red Bull campaign might entitle Edwards to join the East German side this summer if they can sell the project to the former Liverpool employee.
