Leeds United are interested in a 22-year-old midfielder, according to reports ...

According to The Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United are interested in hiring RB Salzburgs Mohamed Camara as a potential replacement for Kalvin Phillips.

This summer, the Yorkshire Pirlo has been linked with a move from Elland Road, and if the England international leaves, the situation may come to an end.

Leeds have a few names in mind, and according to this report, Camara is one player that Victor Orta has long been an admirer.

The midfielder isn''t seen as a major goal, but there is a sense of admiration, and he appears to be on the Leeds list.

Leeds have been extensively scouting RB Salzburg for some time now. Their current manager, Jesse Marsch, used to work for the Austrian club, while Brenden Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen have both joined the Champions League club this summer.

Leeds will have seen plenty of Camara from their time scouring Aaronson and Kristensen, and it appears as though the Whites have been quite impressed.

Camara, who is 22, has a lot of room to grow, and you must experience that he fit perfectly into the Marschs 4-2-2-2 system. After all, he worked alongside him in Austria.

If Camara is to replace Phillips, hell have to be smart. Phillips has been a Leeds top performer season-on-season for the past five years, and if he does make that reported move to Manchester City, hell leave behind valuable shoes to fill.

It remains to be seen whether or not this move will come to fruition, but if Phillips to City accelerates in the coming weeks, Camara is certainly a player that should be kept an eye on.
