MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ was unveiled on Wednesday as the company''s latest smartphone system-on-chip (SoC). The new Dimensity chipset is rated to deliver a five-fold increase in CPU performance and a more than ten percent increase in GPU performance than the Dimensity 9000+. It also includes support for the latest Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. The Dimension 9000+ comes with an integrated 5G modem to facilitate high-speed data access.
The Taiwanese chipmaker predicted that the chipset will be part of some of the most popular Android phones this year.
The MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ SoC has an ARM Cortex-X2 core that is capable of delivering clock speeds of up to 3.2GHz. The new chip also includes three Cortex-A710 cores and four energy-efficient Cortex-A510 cores. The ARM Mali-G710 MC10 graphics also have an ARM Cortex-X2 core that is up to 3.2GHz.
The LPDDR5X RAM is combined with the Dimensity 9000+ SoC. The integrated memory contains an 8MB L3 CPU cache and 6MB of system cache. APU 590 is also used in artificial intelligence (AI) operations.
Dimensity 9000+, a 4nm process technology, has an 18-bit HDR-supporting image signal processor, a hi-tech system, as well as a simultaneous triple camera HDR video recording. The ISP also supports 4K HDR video recording and has AI-based noise reduction capabilities.

MiraVision 790 has been developed for the 144Hz WQHD+ or 180Hz full-HD+ screens. MediaTeks Intelligent Display Sync 2.0 and the latest Wi-Fi Display technology to sync with compatible displays and support up to 4K60 HDR10+ video recording are included.
The chipset comes with a 5G modem that runs up to 7Gbps downlink on a sub-6GHz band, using 3CC Carrier Aggregation and supports R16 UL. There is also 5G/ 4G dual-active support.
MediaTek has also provided support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth v5.3. The Dimension 9000+ also includes support for all of the latest GNSS standards.
Overall, the MediaTek Dimension 9000+ will compete against Qualcomm''s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, which was first launched in May.
