The Gemma Owens X Necklace Has A Hefty Price Tag ...

Is it just me or has the fashion stakes increased with this year''s Love Island launch? And im not just talking about eBay''s new, sustainable choker. It''s not something she was borrowed from the girls'' shared jewellery collection. Instead, it''s a sentimental piece she has brought along for the ride. So what is the origins of the Gemmas X necklace?

According to Metro, the Owens necklace was inspired by Jean Schlumberger in the 80s. It may not be able to see it on telly, but the necklace features 92 round brilliant cut diamonds alternating between 18k yellow gold Xs, per luxury online second hand marketplace 1stdibs. It''s unclear how much the necklace originally retailed for, but the one that was previously discounted on 1stdibs sold for 41,531.65.

According to Grazia, a brand-new Tiffany & Co x Sclumberger X necklace is unlikely to be purchased, but the matching sixteen stone ring and bracelet are still available on eBay. Both pieces are smaller versions of the necklace, but they are equally eye-watering in price. The bracelet is now selling for 19,687.63 on eBay, while Tiffany & Co is still selling the ring for 9,825.

Owen has yet to describe the origins of the necklace on Love Island, but she was wearing it since around December 2021, judging by her Instagram. There''s a possibility it might have been given to her by her father Michael Owen, who is estimated to be worth over 50 million or from her own earnings as an international dressage rider and clothing brand owner. Either way, she is a very fortunate gal with a stunning necklace in her possession.
