Are all things fair in love and war? It appears to be true in the Love Island villa. On June 21, original Islanders Amber Beckford and Ikenna Ekwonna were forced to pack their bags and leave the villa, although the two became the latest to be voted off by the public. Fans were quick to question the outcome of the vote, claiming the benefit of Hope and Polack, but also highlighting how the show continues to be a problem with diversity.
One Twitter user said thats should be fixed for Dami and Indiyah, while another said it is harrowing how the girls state that Amber was one of the villa''s greatest personalities yet on the screen she was dead boring and rude.
There was also further controversy about Beckford''s departure, as three Black contestants had already been removed from the show in a week. According to the Sun, the following episode, where Beckford, Ekwonna, Hope, and Polack (the only Black contestants) were all all together by the public vote.
Many fans were amazed at Hope and Polack''s ability to interact and they didn''t hang around the day before. Ekwonnas Twitter account, which was still run by family and friends during last nights show, tweeted, NAH WHAT MY CORPSE AINT EVEN COLD INDIYAHHHHH. And honestly hes not wrong.
Here are a few highlights from the recent Love Island incident.
