The Oppo Pad Air tablet has been reportedly certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) in India last month. The tablet was previously planned to launch in India alongside the Oppo Reno 8 series smartphones. The tablet has a 10.36-inch touchscreen with a relatively modest profile of 6.94mm. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC.
According to Mukul Sharma, the Oppo Pad Air has been spotted on the BIS certification website with model number OPD2102A. It was initially launched in China last month alongside the Oppo Reno 8, Oppo Reno 8 Pro and Oppo Reno 8 Pro+ smartphones. While the timeline and further details are still unveiled, it may be possible that both the Oppo tablet and smartphone series may launch in India together. The Oppo Pad Air is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor, which can up to 6GB of RAM for photography. There is also a 5-megapixel camera sensor at the back of the tablet, along with an f/2.2 lens.
The Oppo Pad Air has a new UFS 2.2 storage that allows expansion via a microSD card (up to 512GB) and includes USB on-the-go (OTG), a 7,100mAh battery that supports 18W rapid charging. Dolby Atmos has a quad speaker that is supported for a surround sound experience.
