Hudson-Odoi, Weah, and five players who will replace Raphinha after Leeds' departure

Hudson-Odoi, Weah, and five players who will replace Raphinha after Leeds' departure ...

Raphinha has been one of the hottest players in the transfer window this summer, and according to reports, the Leeds United star will likely leave the club in the coming weeks, with Arsenal leading the way.

As per the Athletic, the Gunners have made an initial offer for the Brazilian, and while this initial offer is expected to be rejected, Arsenal will likely make a second attempt to sign Raphinha, who is also on the radar of FC Barcelona and Chelsea.

With Leeds just surviving last season, Raphinha is planning to leave Elland Road this summer, and with Jesse Marschs coming, the American coach will have to find a replacement for his talismanic attacker.

Leeds have already signed Brenden Aaronson, but the Whites will need more if they succeed Raphinha. Here are five players who may move to Yorkshire this summer if the attacker leaves in the coming weeks.

Callum Hudson-Odoi

A younger winger is expected to replace Raphinha at Leeds, and there is unlikely that this summer, there will be no better player than Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The Chelsea star and England international is expected to leave West London this summer, implying that the Blues are willing to pay off their 100,000-week contract, and with Leeds needing a big right-winger to replace Raphinha, Hudson-Odoi may be the perfect candidate for the job.

Noah Okafor

Marsch has already signed one RB Salzburg player this summer in Aaronson, and if the former Bundesliga coach is to look again toward his former side again for an answer to Raphinha, then Noah Okafor will be the guy for the job.

Okafor scored 14 goals in all competitions last season as well as ten assists, yet with Salzburg already losing two huge players in Aaronson and Karim Adeyemi, leaving him out might be a tough request for Leeds.

Roland Sallai

With Marschs'' last stint with RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga, Leeds should look for a Raphinha replacement, and SC Freiburg star Roland Sallai might be a great candidate for the American manager.

Despite the winger''s recent victory against Hungary, Sallai has been a strong performer in the Bundesliga since joining in 2018, and with Raphinha now 25 years old, the Budapest-born forward may be an option to replace him at Leeds, if Marsch is looking for an alternative player.

Silas Katompa Mvumpa

The 23-year-old DR Congo international previously known as Silas Wamangituka endured an injury-hit season last year for VfB Stuttgart, which included just nine Bundesliga games. Leeds may be a suitable fit for the former Paris FC academy star.

Silas was the breakout star in Germany in the 2020/21 season, and with Stuttgart already considering selling key players this summer, Leeds should consider the winger as an option to replace Raphinha given the attackers'' versatility and natural ability to play on the right-wing.

Timothy Weah

With Marsch at Leeds, and American just had to make it onto this list, yet LOSC Lille forward Timothy Weah might be a useful alternative to Raphinha given the youngsters'' ability to play both out on the right and as a striker.

The 2022 FIFA World Cup will be held this summer, but Theahs'' place in the USA squad hasn''t been confirmed, and the winger will be crucial to impress between now and November, and moving to Leeds would be an ideal start for the 22-year-old New York-born attacker.
